End-of-Year Learning & Spring Fun at Our Daycare in Palmdale CA
Hello Families 💛
Ms. Monique here, and I can’t believe we are already in the month of May! This is such a special time of year at Kids ‘N Colors Daycare in Palmdale CA because we are wrapping up a full year of learning while still having so much fun with our children.
Spring is in full bloom, and our classrooms are filled with creativity, growth, and excitement as we prepare our little ones for the next stage.
🌼 Preschool (Little House) – Review, Growth & Confidence
In our preschool program, May is all about reviewing everything our children have learned throughout the year. This is such an important time because it helps build confidence and prepares them for what’s next.
This month, our children are reviewing:
- The full alphabet (Aa–Zz)
- Numbers 1–25 and counting up to 100
- Shapes, colors, and early writing skills
- Name recognition (first and last name writing)
As shown in our May curriculum, we are also focusing on core daily skills like pencil grip, counting objects, and following directions .
We are so proud of how much our children have grown.
🌷 Hands-On Learning & Special Activities
May is not just about review — it’s also about meaningful, hands-on learning.
This month includes:
- Mother’s Day crafts and keepsakes
- Cooking skills (kneading activities)
- Spring science and exploration
- Creative projects like alphabet books and shape crafts
We also continue to teach our monthly virtue: Honesty, helping children understand how to make good choices and build strong character.
📚 Bungalow Program – Finishing Strong
Our school-aged children are approaching the finish line of the school year, and we are right there with them every step of the way.
We continue to provide:
- Homework help
- Tutoring support
- Study guidance for finals
But just like always, we keep things balanced with fun, creative projects and spring-themed activities.
🎉 Spirit Week (May 26–29)
We are ending the month with a fun Spirit Week!
- Tuesday: Tropical Day 🌴
- Wednesday: Mismatch Day
- Thursday: Throwback Day
- Friday: Cozy/PJ Day

- Friday May 22: Closing at 5:00 PM
- Closed through Monday May 25
