Ms. Monique here, and I’m so excited to share everything happening this month at Kids ‘N Colors Daycare in Lancaster.
May is such an important time for our children. It’s when everything they’ve learned throughout the year starts coming together, and we begin to see their confidence really shine.
🌼 Preschool Program – Year-End Review
In our preschool classrooms, we are focusing on reviewing all core learning skills to make sure our children feel confident and ready for their next step.
This includes:
- Alphabet recognition and writing
- Numbers and counting up to 100
- Shapes, colors, and early math skills
- Writing their first and last names
According to our May curriculum, we also focus daily on fine motor skills, listening, and structured learning routines .
These foundational skills are what set our program apart.
🌷 Meaningful Activities & Learning Through Play
Even as we review, we keep learning fun and engaging.
This month, our children are enjoying:
- Mother’s Day crafts 💐
- Cooking activities like kneading dough
- Spring-themed art projects
- Hands-on learning experiences
We also continue to focus on our monthly virtue: Honesty, helping children grow emotionally and socially.
📚 Bungalow – Academic Support & Fun
Our school-aged children are finishing the school year strong with:
- Daily homework help
- Tutoring and study support
- Encouragement and guidance
And of course, we still make time for fun with creative crafts and group activities.
